Noncredit Continuing Education Opportunities

Professional Development

For more than 85 years, the College of Continuing Education (CCE) has supported a wide range of continuing professional education opportunities (conferences, workshops, seminars, short courses, etc.). Professional staff members collaborate with colleagues at the University of Minnesota and representatives of professional associations, businesses and industries, nonprofit organizations, and federal, state, and local government agencies to develop continuing professional education programs that can transform a workforce as well as enhance individual careers.

Personal Enrichment

Looking for something special this summer? The College of Continuing Education also supports a wide variety of unique programs and short courses for personal enrichment and skill enhancement.

  • Compleat Scholar

Share ideas with University and community leaders through Compleat Scholar short courses in art, writing, history, science, and more. Or experience the richness of a week-long workshop in visual art, design, creative writing, or creativity enhancement through the Split Rock Arts Program.

  • Curiosity Camp

Engage in productive play at one of five unique summer camp experiences for adult learners at Curiosity Camp.

  • Grad School Test Prep

The Grad School Test Prep program offers high quality, moderately priced courses to prepare you for GRE, GMAT, or LSAT entrance exams through either classroom instruction or Web-based learning modules.

  • Split Rock Arts Program

Stimulate your creativity with these intensive, supportive workshops in creative writing, visual art, and design, held at the Cloquet Forestry Center in northern Minnesota.
