Summer Term Fees for 2008
Tuition and fees are subject to change without notice.
University Fee
Assessed to all students based on the number of credits taken: $50.00 per credit for 1-9 credits and $500.00 for 10 or more credits. See One Stop for details on the University Fee.
Student Services Fee
If you paid the Student Services Fee during spring semester 2008 and are admitted to a University of Minnesota Twin Cities degree program, you will be assessed a Student Services Fee of $77.39 if registered for 3-5 credits and $154.78 if registered for 6 or more credits.
If you did not pay the Student Services Fee during spring semester 2008 but are admitted to a University of Minnesota Twin Cities degree program, you will be assessed $113.37 if registered for 3-5 credits and $226.75 if registered for 6 or more credits.
The difference in amount represents the value of Boynton Health Service benefits. Boynton benefits carry over through the summer for students who paid the Student Services Fee during spring semester.
In addition, the fee supports a large number of other services and activities:

** Students who paid the Student Services Fee spring semester automatically receive Boynton benefits for the summer and therefore do not have to pay the summer Boynton fee.
Exceptions: Non-admitted students, post-secondary enrollment option students (PSEO), students admitted to a credit certificate program only, students admitted to certain evening-based programs, and those registering under the Senior Citizen Education Program, do not need to pay the Student Services Fee. In addition, credits for off-campus courses, courses entirely online, or Independent and Distance Learning (IDL) courses are excluded from the total credit count.
Students meeting the exemption criteria (excluding students in the Senior Citizen Education Program) may elect to pay the fee by contacting One Stop Student Services at 612-624-1111 if they wish to use or support the services covered by the fee, such as Boynton Health Service and the Recreation Center. If your course is held on another campus of the University, however, you pay the Student Services Fee of that campus.
Course Fees
Course fees are assessed when you register for certain courses with extra costs such as lab supplies. See One Stop for complete list of course fees.
Technology and Collegiate Fees
These fees are used by individual colleges to fund technology projects or for other purposes. They are nonrefundable. Unless otherwise indicated, the fee is charged by your college of enrollment and it applies to the sum total of all credits taken during the Summer Term.
