The Certified Internal Auditor (CIA®) is a leading globally accepted designation for internal auditors. The CIA® is the standard by which internal audit professionals demonstrate their knowledge and competence in the areas of governance, risk, and control. Offered in partnership with the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Twin Cities chapter, this comprehensive four-part CIA review course includes and is based on the IIA's CIA Learning System™, a premier-quality CIA exam preparation tool, designed by subject matter experts.

This course teaches the entire global CIA exam syllabus and is delivered in a blended learning format that includes classroom, printed workbooks and web-based learning.  The online learning tools allow you to take practice tests, complete exercises, expand upon classroom discussions, and interact with the instructors and peers outside the classroom. You can expect to spend one to two a week online.  This blend of classroom and online helps provide a structure to keep you on track to meet your goals.

The Minnesota Board of Accountancy has approved The University of Minnesota to provide continuing professional education (CPE). This course meets the Statement of Standards issued by the AICPA and NASBA. It is the individual's responsibility to submit their credits to the appropriate agency.
