Requirements | Application Process

All admission applications are individually reviewed. It is important that you work closely with an academic adviser at the U of M to properly plan for your admission to the BAS program. Contact an adviser at CCEinfo@umn.edu or 612-624-4000.

Grade Requirements for Admission

  • A 2.5 or better cumulative grade point average preferred.
  • Prerequisite courses completed or in progress before applying for official admission to the program: Calculus I, Physics I and Building Construction Plan Reading, with a grade of C- or better.

Transfer Credit Requirements

  • A minimum of 45 semester credits transferable to the BAS Major program.

Degree Requirements

  • Complete at least 120 semester credits.
  • Have a 2.0 or better U of M cumulative grade point average.
  • Complete all prerequisite courses and major courses as identified in the Construction Management Major Curriculum Guide.
  • You are encouraged to complete an internship or directed study during your final year in the program.
