Student Fellowships

Graduate Student Fellowships

The organizing committee has secured funds to partially support student travel to this year's Inaugural International Conference of the Engineering Mechanics Institute (EM08) to be held May 18-21, 2008, in Minneapolis. Eligibility is restricted to those at U.S. institutions currently enrolled in a graduate program. The application form together with a cover letter and CV should be submitted no later than March 15, 2008, to Conference Co-Chair, Prof. Steve Wojtkiewicz, at ykvich@umn.edu. Awards will be based on merit. It is expected that awards will be in the range of $500.

Undergraduate Student Fellowships

The organizing committee has secured funds to support approximately five undergraduate students to attend EM08. Eligibility is restricted to those at U.S. institutions currently enrolled in an undergraduate program. Awards will be based on merit and a faculty nomination. Further information concerning the fellowships will be posted at www.ce.umn.edu/em08.

Recipients of the student fellowships will be notified by mid- to late- April.
