College in the Schools - Teacher Resources

Welcome to the resources home page for College in the Schools teachers.

Administrative resources can be accessed by clicking on the links to the left—including (1) the CIS Administrative Handbook, (2) downloadable forms you’ll need to administer a CIS course, and (3) required U of M syllabus information and tutorial resources.  Please call the CIS office at 612-625-1855 for additional information.

Please note that the 2008 spring workshop schedule and 2008 summer workshop schedule are subject to change.  E-mail notification--with final and accurate information--is sent to teachers prior to events.

Password-protected Pedagogical Resources

Below you will find discipline-specific, password-protected resources for CIS teachers.  The goal of this portion of the site is to provide teachers of represented disciplines with an electronic, secure place to share ideas and resources which have proven effective in the CIS classroom. For each discipline represented you will find pedagogical resources, including best practices, sample syllabi, assessment rubrics, and related content sources. You will also find up-to-date developments in critical thinking specific to each discipline.

University Resources for Faculty

The University of Minnesota’s Center for Teaching and Learning Services is an excellent resource for faculty.  For cutting edge resources on pedagogy, best practices, assessment, syllabus creation, and collegial networking opportunities, vist the Center for Teaching and Learning Services Web site.
