Transportation Studies Certificate Program
Total credits required: 16
The course structure for the Graduate Certificate Program in Transportation Studies incorporates a set of required core courses as well as elective course work for a total of 16 graduate-level credits. Each student in the Certificate Program works closely with a Certificate faculty adviser to develop an individualized Certificate curriculum to meet his or her particular program needs.
Certificate Core Courses (7 credits minimum)
Traffic Engineering and Operations Concentration
Total credits required: 17
The Graduate Certificate in Transportation Studies: Traffic Engineering and Operations Concentration is designed to meet the needs of professionals who want to expand their skills and qualifications with an additional transportation credential. Program advisers are available to help develop a curriculum based on the traffic-related courses offered at the University.

Completion Requirements
Completing this Certificate Program requires completion of a minimum of 16 credits in the indicated courses with core courses requiring a grade of B and a cumulative GPA for all certificate course work of a 2.8 or better.
In order to receive your certificate, please follow these steps:
Visit the Graduate School Web site and review the information. Substitute the word “certificate” whenever you see “degree.” You will find the Application for Degree Form (this is the same form used for certificates) on this site. It must be completed on the first working day of your intended month of graduation.
The Graduate School will then review your Graduate School Post Baccalaureate Program (GSPBC) to see that all course work has been completed and is recorded on the transcript.
The final GSPBC Final Report Form found in your graduation packet must be signed by the Director of Graduate Studies of your department.
