Technical Communication- Graduate Level
Program Description
The Post-baccalaureate Certificate in Technical Communication curriculum is designed to provide instruction for working technical and scientific communicators and graduate-level communication students to enhance their knowledge and skills base. After completing this certificate program, students should be able to apply technical communication principles to analyze a project’s audience and purpose, and based on this analysis, produce technical documents in several media that are of professional quality and appropriate for the communication situation.
The certificate program, whenever possible, provides opportunities for students to apply knowledge to solve community and industry problems within the field of technical communication through authentic learning opportunities in the program’s courses.
The program is supported by faculty and staff from the Department of Rhetoric in the College of Food, Agricultural, and Natural Resources Sciences. Faculty members are widely recognized as experts in their fields of study.
