Construction Management Certificate

Total credits required: 19

Core Courses (18 credits)
CMGT 3001 Introduction to Construction (3 cr.)*
CE 4101W Project Management (3 cr.)
CMGT 4011 Construction Documents and Contracts (3 cr.)
CMGT 4021 Construction Planning and Scheduling (3 cr.)
CMGT 4022 Construction Estimating (3 cr.)
CMGT 4031 Construction Safety and Loss Control (3 cr.)

*Introduction to Construction may be waived with faculty director approval. However, you must earn a total of 19 credits to complete the program.

Core courses must be taken for a letter grade (on the A/F grading basis) and completed with a grade of C- or better.

NOTE: CMgt 3011 Construction Plan Reading or an equivalent course, or proficiency in construction plan reading is a prerequisite for several courses in the certificate.

Electives (1 credit)
Upper-division electives must be approved by the faculty director or academic adviser through the Construction Management Certificate program.

Completion Requirements
This program requires 19 credits for completion. To be awarded a certificate, you must submit a completed Application for Undergraduate Degree form online. NOTE:  The words Degree and Certificate are used interchangeably on the form . It is important for you to check the deadlines if you want to graduate in a specific term. 

All courses in the certificate must be completed with a grade of C- or better. Core courses must be taken for a letter grade (on the A/F grading basis). Elective courses may be taken on the A/F grading basis or the S/N grading basis. The cumulative gpa for all certificate courses must be a 2.00 or better.

 You must complete the certificate within four years of your admission date.
