Health and Human Services Certificate Programs
There is a shortage of trained professionals to handle the rising need in health care. A certificate program in Health and Human Services is one way to get involved in taking care of people.
The Addiction Studies Program provides students with a strong theoretical and practical foundation in substance abuse treatment modalities, counseling skills, professional and ethical responsibilities, and client advocacy. The program offers tracks in Public Health, Service Provider, and Self Designed and is available at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
The Housing Studies Program – graduate level is designed for professionals who have completed a four-year college degree and are interested in gaining further knowledge about housing-related issues.
The Certificate Program in Interpreting – undergraduate level enables you to assist others, as a professional interpreter, in oral communication between different languages. Choose a specialization in Health Care or Legal Settings Interpreting.
The Ophthalmology Technician Program – undergraduate level is designed to provide you with the technical and mechanical skills needed to treat and diagnose eye diseases. The certificate qualifies you to assist ophthalmologists (physicians) and to take the national certification examination available through the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology
