Essential Management Certificate

The managerial effectiveness core competency is required to move through an organization in a leadership position. Managers are involved in planning, organizing, leading and coordinating people and resources. While these remain core competencies of managers, most organizations are also developing more organic and fluid forms of management to reflect the changing shape of our world. Our Essential Management Certificate gives you the competencies you need in both these roles as you learn the basic functions as well develop your own leadership skills, strategic planning, adopt a systems view, understand organizational behavior, manage transitions, and think globally.

To complete this certificate program, you will take all courses listed below. The courses may be taken in any order, but must be completed within two years of your first course. Look for the EMC code which designates courses that apply to the Essential Management Certificate program.

Please Note - Management Fundamentals is recommended as a prerequisite for other courses in the Essential Management Certificate.

Certificate Enrollment Information
Enroll in the Essential Management Certificate program now or call us at 612-624-4000 to speak to an Information Center Learner Representative. There is a one-time $35 enrollment fee to enroll in the certificate program. Individuals enrolled in a certificate program are entitled to a $20 discount off course fees.

NEW! Accelerated Certificate option now available

Accelerate the completion of your certificate. Register for all the courses in the Essential Management Certificate in one easy transaction and complete the certificate in five to seven months using the daytime or evening course option. In addition, you pay only $3,500 for this 60-hour certificate; a savings of $370. Select "View Courses/Register Now" from above, and select the accelerated registration option.
