Please note: We accept the largest number of students for the fall semester. Spring semester applications are accepted only on a space-available basis.

Other Minnesota PSEO programs may be an option for students who are not successful in applying to the University of Minnesota's PSEO Program.

PSEO Application Form and Balance Sheet

The Application Form, Application Instructions, and Balance Sheet are now available for 2008-2009. The essay topics are included as part of the Instructions; please read the Instructions carefully to ensure your application is complete.

You can download and print our PSEO Application Form, Application Instructions, and Balance Sheet using Adobe Acrobat Reader.

PSEO Form

Application to the PSEO Program also requires a copy of the Post-Secondary Notice of Student Registration available from the Minnesota Department of Education. It must be signed by you, your parent or guardian if you are under 18 years of age, and your high school counselor.

You can download a PSEO Form using Adobe Acrobat Reader. Please note: press the Adobe Acrobat Reader print icon when printing these forms.

Admission Criteria

All applications to the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities PSEO Program are reviewed on a holistic basis. While high school GPA and class rank are important elements, the Admissions Committee makes admissions decisions based on many factors relating to an applicant's overall readiness for college. We make every attempt to provide accurate information, but this list is not exhaustive and meeting all qualifications does not guarantee admission to the program.

Admission Criteria

School of Music

All students who are interested in taking music lessons and performing in ensembles through the University of Minnesota must also apply to the School of Music. More details on the application process may be found on the School's Web site: http://www.music.umn.edu/. Admission to the School of Music does not guarantee admission to the PSEO program.

University Honors Program

Beginning Fall 2008, honors courses at the University of Minnesota will be administered through the University Honors Program. Admission to these courses may only be possible on a space-available basis. In preparing for participation in the University's PSEO program, do not assume that honors courses will be available to PSEO students. The AHS3 Office will update this space with more information as we receive it.
