Managers and supervisors completing this course will gain a practical understanding of how the best IPM programs should function. This knowledge will enable you to effectively execute your IPM responsibilities whether through internal staff assignments or via external contracts with professional pest management specialists. Insect, mite, rodent and bird pests are covered.

Course goals include:

1. An understanding of the essential elements needed to make the most effective and efficient IPM program for your facility.
2. Determine what elements of a strong IPM program are present and functioning in your facility.
3. An ability to communicate key IPM requirements to others.
4. Assembly, understanding and use of Pest Management Records Binder for your specific circumstances.

  • Navigating pest management contracts in order to effectively communicate facility needs and expectations to Contractors including expected time for inspections, requirements for on-site assessments, and re-positioning of monitoring devices.
