Managing the Professional Practice

The Managing the Professional Practice option is designed for students and practitioners in professions where:

  • A small practice remains the paradigm
  • Intense clinical or technical curricula limit the ability to develop management skills
  • A business credential is an advantage for:
  1. Competing to join a practice
  2. Attracting start-up investors
  3. Securing a small business loan
  • Business acumen may aid in securing a start-up loan and/or investment capital

Examples include veterinarians, dentists, architects, chiropractors, artists and studio owners, massage therapists, engineers, and designers.
