About the Institute

The Annual Institute for Building Officials provides a continuing education opportunity for code officials and inspectors from the building, electrical, fire, housing, mechanical, elevator, and plumbing fields as well as permit technicians. Institute sessions offer opportunities to learn about:

  • Minnesota code rules and amendments to the code.
  • Useful approaches and best practices for inspection and code administration.
  • Innovative products in the marketplace.
  • Professional development skill enhancement.

This program is offered to provide the elevator construction communities of Minnesota and Wisconsin with the latest developments in conveyance technology and provide continuing educational opportunities to fulfill the Wisconsin Licensing requirements and Qualified Elevator Inspector (QEI) continuing education credit requirements.
